Reading the site
Reading CrossRefHVAC needs no account. The hosting service keeps standard server logs (the address a request came from, the page asked for, the time, the browser's stated type) for operating and securing the site, and these are not used to identify readers.
Forms
An email address entered in an early-access or source-access form is stored with the page it was sent from and used only to send the message it asked for. It is not sold or shared.
Affiliate links
Some part pages link to a seller through an affiliate network. Following one of these links takes the visitor through the network's domain, and the network (CJ Affiliate, operated by Commission Junction LLC) may set a cookie in the visitor's browser so that a purchase made at the seller within its attribution window is credited to this site. CrossRefHVAC receives the fact that a purchase was made and the commission it earned, never the buyer's identity or what was bought. The network's own privacy notice describes its practices and how to opt out of its cookies. Links of this kind are marked on the page and explained on the affiliate disclosure page.
